U.S. Court of Appeals Case No: 19-3299
U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Iowa - Des Moines
[PUBLISHED] [Kobes, Author, with Loken and Grasz, Circuit Judges]
Prisoner case - Prisoner civil rights. In action alleging defendants
violated plaintiff's 8th Amendment rights by delaying treatment for a foot
sore which eventually led to the amputation of his lower leg, the district
court did not err in granting defendants' motion for summary judgment as
plaintiff failed to provide evidence from which a trier of fact could draw
an inference that the nurse practitioner and two doctor defendants
provided care that was grossly inappropriate or intentional maltreatment.
