U.S. Court of Appeals Case No: 19-3742
U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota
[PUBLISHED] [Kobes, Author, with Shepherd and Stras, Circuit Judges]
Criminal case - Criminal law. Under the circumstances presented, an
objectively reasonable officer could believe that the search warrant
permitted him to search for evidence of illegal gun possession, including
on defendant's cell phone; as a result, the video found on the phone was
admissible under the good faith doctrine; the state court magistrate's
probable cause determination had a substantial basis and the warrants were
supported by probable cause.
