U.S. Court of Appeals Case No: 20-2005
U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Iowa - Central
[PUBLISHED] [Kobes, Author, with Shepherd and Erickson, Circuit Judges]
Criminal case - Criminal law and sentencing. The evidence was sufficient
to support defendant's conviction for possessing a firearm in furtherance
of a drug trafficking crime; the district court did not err in calculating
the amount of drugs attributable to defendant for sentencing purposes; the
district court did not err in refusing to give defendant an
acceptance-of-responsibility reduction when his eleventh-hour guilty to
plea to the drug conspiracy still required the government to prove its
case on the firearm charge.
