U.S. Court of Appeals Case No: 22-2120
U.S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri - Kansas City
[PUBLISHED] [Kobes, Author, with Smith, Chief Judge, and Stras, Circuit
Judge]
Criminal case - Criminal law. Government's failure to disclose information
about a police officer during the suppression stage did not render
defendant's guilty plea involuntary or constitute a fair and just reason
for withdrawal of the plea because the Supreme Court has ruled that the
Government is not required to turn over impeachment information before a
defendant pleads guilty - see U.S. v. Ruiz, 536 U.S. 622, 629 (2002).
