U.S. Court of Appeals Case No: 00-1294
   District of Minnesota
Civil case - civil rights. Employee with petrochemical sensitivities did not make a prima facie showing of discrimination under the Americans with Disabilities Act because she did not show that accommodations she suggested - allowing her to work from home by remote computer access and discontinuance of the use of carbonless paper - were reasonable accommodations to her disability; employer made a thorough investigation of her claim and ERISA plan administrator's decision was entitled to review under an abuse of discretion standard; decision to terminate benefits was not an abuse of discretion; dissent by Judge Lay.
