Criminal case - Criminal law. In an opinion by Judge Melloy,
the court en banc reviews under what circumstances a defendant
can effectively waive appellate rights as part of a valid plea
agreement. HELD, because defendant entered into a plea
agreement that contained a valid waiver of his appellate rights
and the sentence imposed was not illegal, the conditions of
defendant's supervised release may not be reviewed on appeal,
and the appeal must be dismissed. Concurrence by Judge
Morris Sheppard Arnold, joined by Chief Judge Loken,
