   Civil case - Uniform Commercial Code. The Missouri Supreme 
   Court would hold that a drawer of a check could have a common-law 
   cause of action against a depository bank for negligently handling the 
   drawer's check, and the district court erred in finding such a claim was 
   preempted by the UCC; UCC transfer warranties do not run in favor 
   of drawers, and a depository bank which presents a check for payment
   makes no warranty to the drawer.
