Criminal case - Sentencing Guidelines. When a district court
judge for good cause and in the interests of justice continues
a sentencing hearing, the judge does not lose discretion to
grant an offender, who is qualified at the time of imposition
of the sentence, a statutory safety valve deduction from a
mandatory minimum sentence.
