Civil case - torts. In action for medical malpractice, district
court did not err when it limited scope of cross-examination
of defendant's expert as the questions went to the expert's
personal practices and not to the appropriate standard of
care; no error in admitting the testimony of an internist as
his research and practice qualified him to testify on proper
pre- and post-surgical treatment of patients with small-bowel
obstructions; when plaintiff opened topic on cross-examination
of defendant, the trial court did not err in permitting further
inquiry during re-direct; court did not err in admitting
autopsy report containing pathologist's opinions as to cause
of death as the autopsy was an admissible business record
under Rule 803(6).
