U.S. Court of Appeals Case No: 02-3506
Southern District of Iowa
Civil case - civil rights. Under the Americans with Disabilities
Act, there must be a causal connection between the major life
activity that is limited and the accommodation sought; here,
there was no connection between plaintiff's limited life activity -
procreation- and the accommodation sought - changes in his duties
as a cement truck driver; as a result, plaintiff failed to make a prima
facie case of discrimination under the ADA and the district court
did not err in granting defendant's motion for summary judgment.
