U.S. Court of Appeals Case No: 02-3794
Eastern District of Arkansas
Civil case - Civil rights. Fact that plaintiff was unable to pay for
merchandise by check was insufficient, alone, to establish an inference of
race discrimination; nor does an unidentified sales clerk's failure to
extend a discount on the purchase of some ribbon raise an inference of
intentional discrimination on the basis of race sufficient to sustain claims
under Sections 1981 and 1982.
