U.S. Court of Appeals Case No: 03-1900
Western District of Missouri
Prisoner case - habeas. State courts' decisions that evidence was
sufficient to support murder convictions was not contrary to or an
unreasonable application of clearly established federal law; Brady claim
was procedurally defaulted, and Evans could not show cause for the
default; Crawford v. Washington, 124 S.Ct. 1354 (2004) did not apply to
non-testimonial hearsay statements admitted at Evans' trial; claim of
ineffective assistance of trial counsel rejected.
