Jacob Kanatzar U.S. Court of Appeals Case No: 03-3376 Western District of Missouri
Criminal case - criminal law. District court did not err in denying motion to suppress, as the police officers did not act unreasonably in deciding to impound defendant's vehicle and conduct an inventory search after his arrest on a traffic offense, as there was no licensed driver available to take the vehicle and the site of the arrest was high crime area where it would be unsafe to leave an unattended car; no error in imposing an enhancement for possession of a firearm in connection with another felony - possession of the implements of forgery; Kansas conviction counted as a crime of violence for purposes Section 2K2.1(a)(4)(A), (6), and the district court did not err in increasing defendant's base offense level from 14 to 20.
