U.S. Court of Appeals Case No: 04-3783
Western District of Missouri
[PUBLISHED] [Colloton, Author, with Chief Judge Loken and Arnold,
Circuit Judges]
Civil Commitment - revocation of conditional release. District court is
authorized to impose conditions ancillary to the prescribed regimen, so
long as they are related to mental illness and reasonably necessary to
protect safety. District court did not err in concluding threatening
behavior was a violation of conditional release because the non-
compliance with standard conditions of court flowed directly from mental
illness and danger to the community concerns.
