U.S. Court of Appeals Case No: 05-1491
Southern District of Iowa
[PUBLISHED] [Riley, Author, with Arnold and Beam, Circuit Judges]
Civil case - employment discrimination. Evidence was sufficient to
establish that plaintiff could perform the essential functions of the
positions at issue and that defendant failed to participate in an interactive
process to determine possible accommodations for plaintiff's limitations;
there was insufficient evidence to support an award of punitive damages,
and that portion of the jury's award is set aside; district court did not err
in denying motion to remit compensatory damages award.
