U.S. Court of Appeals Case No: 06-1703
U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Iowa - Des Moines
[PUBLISHED] [Riley, Author, with Beam and Smith, Circuit Judges]
Prisoner case - habeas. State courts did not unreasonably apply clearly
established federal law by excluding evidence showing medical
malpractice was an intervening and superseding cause of the victim's
death, as under Iowa law the intervening medical act must be the sole
proximate cause of death, and the medical evidence showed the act in
question was not the sole proximate cause.
