U.S. Court of Appeals Case No: 06-2836
U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Arkansas - Little Rock
[PUBLISHED] [Murphy, Author, with Loken, Chief Judge, and Shepherd,
Circuit Judge]
Criminal case - criminal law. There is nothing inherent about the
suspension of an attorney's state law license which would necessarily
interfere with a trained attorney's ability to represent a defendant
in federal court; district court did not err in rejecting defendant's
claim that he knew nothing about his attorney's suspension or his claim
that his signature had been forged; defendant had no right to be present
at district court hearing on counsel's practice status.
