U.S. Court of Appeals Case No: 06-2874
U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri - St. Louis
[PUBLISHED][Smith, Author, with Melloy and Benton, Circuit
Judges]
Civil case - employment discrimination. The information the plaintiff
employee provided the defendant and the suggestions he made for
accommodating his disability were sufficiently detailed to meet his
responsibilities under the ADA; there was sufficient evidence to support
the jury's conclusion that the accommodation suggested by plaintiff -
extra time for him to return from lunch - was reasonable; award of
$100,000 in compensatory damages affirmed as a reasonable jury could
find that defendant failed to act in good faith; no error in denying
defendant's motion for remittitur.
