   his motion in limine by mentioning the evidence in his opening
   statement; in any event, admission of evidence that plaintiff had
   consumed beer and that first responders smelled alcohol on his breath
   was not plain error; jury verdict was consistent with the instructions and
   the jury's decisions on the claims and counterclaims were not
   inconsistent.
