U.S. Court of Appeals Case No: 07-2428
U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Iowa - Cedar Rapids
[PUBLISHED] [Melloy, Author, with Riley and Hansen, Circuit Judges]
Criminal case - criminal law. District court did not abuse its discretion
by limiting cross-examination of two government witnesses, and the
limitations did not violate defendant's rights under the Confrontation
Clause; co-conspirators' out-of-court statements were admissible as there
was other evidence of the conspiracy and the statements were made in
furtherance of the conspiracy; no error in admitting prior bad acts
evidence; evidence was sufficient to support defendant's conviction for
distribution of heroin resulting in death.
