U.S. Court of Appeals Case No: 07-2851
and No: 07-3030
U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Iowa - Cedar Rapids
[PUBLISHED] [Riley, Author, with Wollman and Beam, Circuit Judges]
Civil case - employment discrimination. Evidence was sufficient for a
jury to find defendant had discriminated against plaintiff after he
complained about discrimination; it was not error for the court to submit
the issue of punitive damages to the jury as there was evidence that
defendant acted with malice or reckless disregard to plaintiff's federally
protected rights; district court did not err in denying employer's motion
for judgment as a matter of law on plaintiff's claims for emotional
distress; award of attorneys' fees affirmed.
