increases in defendant's offense level based on his role in the offense and
obstruction of justice; district court did not err in denying defendant's
request for an acceptance-of-responsibility adjustment under Guidelines
Sec. 3E1.1; decision not to grant a downward departure based on a
variety of personal history factors was unreviewable on appeal; sentence
was not unreasonable; claim of ineffective assistance of counsel should
be brought in a habeas proceeding. Judge Bye, concurring in part (on the
issue of the role enhancement) and dissenting in part (on the issues of the
obstruction of justice enhancement and the denial of an acceptance of
responsibility reduction).
