U.S. Court of Appeals Case No: 09-2199
U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Iowa - Ft. Dodge
[PUBLISHED] [Wollman, Author, with Murphy and Shepherd,
Circuit Judges]
Criminal case - Sentencing. District court did not abuse its discretion by
making defendant's sentences partially consecutive, even though the
resulting sentence was above the guidelines range, as the court explained
why an above guidelines sentence was sufficient, but not greater than
necessary, and why the consecutive terms were reasonable under Section
3584, in light of the Section 3553(a) factors.
