113703P.pdf 08/21/2012 Max Eastin v. Ray Hobbs
U.S. Court of Appeals Case No: 11-3703
U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Arkansas - Pine Bluff
[PUBLISHED] [Gruender, Author, with Loken and Benton, Circuit Judges]
Prisoner case - Habeas. Eastin failed to show that his attorneys' failure to preserve a suppression issue constituted ineffective assistance of counsel; Eastin failed to show that the Arkansas Supreme Court's presumptively correct finding that he failed to provide a basis upon which trial counsel could have presented a meritorious argument regarding an informant's reliability was in error; nor did he show that a motion to suppress would have been meritorious under the Fourth Amendment.
