U.S. Court of Appeals Case No: 14-1247
U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Arkansas - Little Rock
[PUBLISHED] [Riley, Author, with Beam and Gruender, Circuit Judges]
Criminal case - Criminal law. Officer who made the traffic stop on
defendant had reasonable suspicion and even probable cause to believe
defendant had committed a crime and this was sufficient to justify the
stop; officers could see controlled substances in the car at the time of
the stop and the fact that they believed defendant was someone else was
irrelevant; the search of the vehicle was a permissible search incident to
arrest.
