U.S. Court of Appeals Case No: 17-2598
U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri - St. Louis
[PUBLISHED] [Erickson, Author, with Wollman and Kelly, Circuit Judges]
Criminal case - Sentencing. The district court did not err in determining
that defendant's prior Missouri conviction for possession of a controlled
substance with intent to distribute was a controlled substance offense for
purposes of determining he was a career offender under the Guidelines; the
below-guidelines sentence imposed in the case was not an abuse of the
court's discretion.
