U.S. Court of Appeals Case No: 17-3823
and No: 17-3824
U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota - St. Paul
[PUBLISHED] [Kelly, Author, with Loken and Colloton, Circuit Judges]
Criminal case - Criminal law. Warrant applications to place GPS trackers
on defendant's cars were supported by probable cause to believe defendant
was involved in methamphetamine trafficking and that evidence of his
vehicles' locations would lead to evidence of trafficking; evidence in the
applications was not stale; evidence to search a car was supported by
sufficient information for a judge to conclude there was a reasonable
probability that evidence of drug-trafficking would be found in the
vehicle; the district court did not err in denying defendant's motion to
suppress the evidence seized under four different warrants.
