U.S. Court of Appeals Case No: 18-1515
U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Iowa - Waterloo
[PUBLISHED] [Loken, Author, with Grasz and Stras, Circuit Judges]
Criminal case - Sentencing. The district court did not err in imposing a
two-level enhancement under Guidelines Sec. 2K2.1(b)(1)(A); nor did the
court err in denying an acceptance-of-responsibility reduction after
defendant frivolously contested that enhancement; the district court
thoroughly explained its weighing of the aggravating and mitigating
factors in the case, and did not abuse its discretion in imposing a
within-guidelines sentence and denying a downward variance.
