U.S. Court of Appeals Case No: 20-2122
U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Iowa - Central
[PUBLISHED] [Gruender, Author, with Benton and Grasz, Circuit Judges]
Criminal case - Criminal law. In a prosecution for attempted sex
trafficking of a minor, the district court did not err in admitting
evidence of defendant's internet searches showing defendant's sexual
interest in girls as it was relevant to his intent and purpose when he
traveled across state lines to meet the girls; the probative value of the
evidence was not outweighed by the danger of unfair prejudice.
