U.S. Court of Appeals Case No: 21-2863
U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota
[PUBLISHED] [Erickson, Author, with Melloy and Kobes, Circuit Judges]
Civil Case - Fair Credit Reporting Act. Defendant listed a credit card
debt on plaintiff's credit report after the debt had been discharged in
bankruptcy, and plaintiff brought this action alleging defendant failed to
maintain reasonable procedures to ensure discharged debts are not
reported; plaintiff's claims of financial harm and emotional distress
failed to create a genuine fact dispute on damages, and the district court
properly concluded defendant was entitled to judgment as a matter of law.
