   Criminal case - Criminal law. Defendant was convicted of first-degree 
   murder and use of a firearm during a crime of violence resulting in death 
   following the shooting of his girlfriend, and he was sentenced to life in 
   prison. The district court did not err in admitting testimony under Rule 
   404(b) from two witnesses concerning defendant's jealous behavior 
   concerning his girlfriend as the notice he had was not so inadequate that 
   he was prejudiced; the evidence was not overly remote in time, went to 
   motive, and was not unduly prejudicial; the government's evidence 
   established premeditation, and the evidence was sufficient to support 
   defendant's conviction for first degree murder; the district court did not 
   plainly err when it did not instruct the jury on imperfect self-defense, 
   and it did not abuse its discretion in rejecting defendant's request for 
   an involuntary manslaughter instruction.
