U.S. Court of Appeals Case No: 98-2770
District of Nebraska
Civil case - Forefeiture. Canine sniff of trailer did not
violate defendant's Fourth Amendment
rights; although the
traffic stop portion of the incident may have been completed
by the time the dog did the sniff, a two minute detention was
not unreasonable; once dog alerted, the officer had probable
cause to search trailer without a warrant.
