Civil Case - state habeas corpus. Denial of ineffective assistance
of counsel claim for lack of trial preparation is affirmed. State
court's finding that counsel discussed case and possible defenses
and was aware of content of police report is entitled to deference.
Counsel's actions were not constitutionally deficient and
defendant cannot show prejudice. Dissent by Judge O'Brien.
