U.S. Court of Appeals Case No: 99-4180
Eastern District of Arkansas
Civil case - civil rights. Plaintiff's evidence established a causal link
between his conduct in testifying against his employers, the Department
of Corrections, and adverse employment actions the Department took against
him; with respect to certain defendants; however, plaintiff failed to show
they took any part in the actions, and they should have been granted a
summary judgment; remaining defendants failed to show that a reasonable
officer would have believed the conduct was lawful, and they were not
entitled to summary judgment based on qualified immunity.
