U.S. Court of Appeals Case No: 99-4337
Western District of Missouri
Civil Case. Appeal from denial of social security disability
insurance and supplemental security income benefits.
ALJ adequately explained why claimant's subjective
complaints were not fully credible, but did not provide an
adequate basis for concluding claimant retained the residual
functional capacity to return to her past relevant work in
light of the evidence of severe carpal tunnel syndrome.
On remand, ALJ should reexamine the specific duties of
claimant's position, the classification of those duties, and
the opinions of the vocational expert.
